2009 was a very good year. Lots of deer, bear, elk and turkeys qualified for entry into the CBM records. CBM is again have their annual Awards Banquet to honor the “best of the best” from the 2009 season. The banquet will be held in Owosso on Saturday, July 24, 2010. This event is open to the public.
All award winners and CBM members are invited and are welcome to bring a group of family and friends to help share their special day. All award winners are encouraged to bring their trophy mount(s) if available or at least a picture for display. It will be the only time in history that this group of deer, bear, elk and turkeys will be displayed together. It’s a time for friends, stories and pictures.
Tickets are $25.00 each, $15.00 for children 12 and under. As a special offer this year with the purchase of 4 adult tickets to the banquet you will receive an 8th edition of Michigan Big Game Records (a $32.00 value).
We know people will be coming from all over the state so we don’t make this a late night event. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. and dinner is at 6:00. The awards presentation starts about 7:30 and should be over about 9:00.
For those who want to stay and make it a week end, Owosso has many attractions. Curwood Castle, Steam Railroading Institute (Project 1225) and shopping are just a few ways to explore the town. For a comprehesive listing of events, lodging and area attractions please visit www.shiawassee.org.
